Game Jams

Bomb Busters

Bomb Busters is a UoB Game Jam winner and is a top-down 2D aeroplane shooter with a twist. The theme of the jam was ‘pressure’. To fit the theme we created a co-op version of the game, the players have to take turns flying and shooting, all while having to diffuse bombs that are onboard.
The game was crafted by a 3 person team, consisting of myself, a programmer and an artist.

Built-To-Scale

The Built-To-Scale Model Shop was designed and built by a team of 2, over 96 hours for the 2024 GMTK Game Jam. I was responsible for the art and design, I worked with a programmer who also helped with design.

Our inspiration came from the overcooked games and we decided to go right on the nose with the theme of ‘Built to scale’. We enjoy building and painting scale models, such as Gunpla and Warhammer so we used this to fuel our passion for making the game.

Shape Swapper

Shape Swapper is a UoB Game Jam winner, the judges really enjoyed its retro art style and its simple but addictive gameplay. The theme of the Jam was ‘connected’. Players have to work together to pass ‘shape keys’ to each other through a portal, this unlocks the gates to progress before the forever moving laser wall catches you.

Binary Bots: Robo Recon

Binary Bots: Robo Recon was made for the UoB Game Jam in 2024. It is a top down bullet hell game where you can call in care packages to support your characters fight against the enemies. It was created in 48 hours by a team of 2 designers and a programmer.

Our inspiration came from retro 2d shooters and the helldivers games. We enjoyed the fun and intensity of having to types in codes quickly to call in support packages to aid the player.
